My Record Player Broke

22/August/2026 There seemed to be no solution as this is a semi-automatic model from Audio Technica, with no user-servicable parts. I slipped the belt off the motor spindle and lifted off the platter. There was just one dust ball near the spindle and a few bits of debris within the metal inner chassis. I looked for anything that might control the tone arm docking mechanism but found nothing except a spring and some gears that looked dangerous to tamper with. Even the belt, which is not very elastic, slipped off and had to be repositioned carefully. Yea, replacing the platter was dicey.

When all else fails there is WD40. A small squirt into the joints of the tone arm machinery / base was enough to get it docking automatically again. Previously, it would drop just along the side of the record with a tired whine. I remember buying the thing, paying about $200 for it, with added on carbon brush, stylus cleaner. Later I got Clear Groove (made in the UK) for 50RM. Together with a microfiber car polishing cloth, it fixes up dirty records in seconds. You do not need to press with almost any force, just gently wipe the solution in and off the grooves. Being an enthusiast, I also bought the Milty Zerostat for I think 300RM.

The LP-60 USB comes with a built-in preamp so it connects just fine to computer speakers. I use a mid-range 2-way Edifier bookshelf pair. I can also rip the LPs to Garageband if I want via a USB connection. Lately, I haven't bothered much. I took off the cover permanently seeing as how it would be easier to wipe clean of dust, and that dust doesn't enter the insides almost at all. It also looks more attractive plus I can move LPs in and out easier.

Just worked out at 3am. Feeling good. Drank lotsa black coffee. We had this discussion on integrity and faith etc. And I transferred my gift of mathematics to young people angry and hurt by the Liew-governments debacle / deception. And it came to me, how one would write a book / novel, whatnot, to which I replied just 3 general things,

As we were talking, I brought up my author friend, Ivy, and the two of her books I own. I am really intrigued with 'In Safe Hands' as it is the story of a westernized Chinese family in crisis(?) which is developing slowly as far as I've read. My praise for ISH is that it exposes the inner world of the Anglophile Sino-diaspora. My criticism is that it is not very tantalizing. More effort should have been spent to exaggerate the main plot or spawn delectable subplots. As usual, Ivy is always bothered when she tries to write(?) and has never been left alone to herself to work gems she manages to output as short stories -my favorites.

Slept pretty well and managed to get cleaned easily too. I'm still carrying the 1kg I put on a few weeks ago. Need to diet further and keep running. Today tho, is chores day. And my code is still buggy. Made more headway on the code, the common and signal rails filling up nicely and now for the transistors etc. which I erroneously de-complicated. Positional ipQ needs to be put back in the elses. Did all the sweeping and successfully pumped my bike tyre. I also am co-writing this song with Emily who's down with some bug, so she'll feel better. So far my lyrics aren't up to scratch but I got the primary chords written and the theme laid out.

My run around the block was good. Knees felt better this time. Was less out of breath. Am feeling good after removing some kind of clamp that was around my head, thru dimension expansion. The plots of the evil Liew witches continue to destroy the faithful. After half an hour's rest, to check my code -there are bugs still, even after the fixes I applied earlier.

I put spikes under my Edifier speakers. Just tacks and some putty. There is now more definition to the audio when played softly as it is now past 3am Sunday morning. Not bad for 199RM / $50 speakers.

Dad and I ordered an electric branch cutter. I checked my account and there was 36RM left for me to spend. I guess I will use it to pay my web hosting charges, EOM. Was struck on my head with deep cutting blows on waking up this morning. Trouble is, my brain health is fading and I'm unable to grasp what's really happening to the world. Decided to draw it out in a comic strip, tomorrow's KoangDeLambe discussion. May work on it circa midnight. As usual, a brief run would be good as well. Now to code.

Tomorrow's KoangDeLambe strip will be about the Tribulation beasts. Since this blog is mostly ignored, I tought I would script the thing here: the beast from the sea is formed in mystery / secrecy. The beast from the land rises up from community. In the end they control the earth thru the economy with the spin 'we shall be gods'. And it warns the nations -do not rise up against the system because no judge will support / vindicate you (the fatal wound (calamity) healed a.k.a. spiritually blessed).

Also explained, is the woman and the dragon. The dragon made war against Christians (the remnant of her seed), just as Jesus told. 'Ye shall be hated of all nations for my namesake'. This is because Christians oppose Satan and do well for themselves while others would be suffering. Something happens when Messiah is conceived / raised up. The Devil is stirred. War in heaven ensued and the Kingdom of Satan was replicated on earth, culminating in the above 'beasts' paragraph.

The question remains, where are we between Jesus, persecution, and the beasts? The answer is the fatal wound. IMHO, Michael rebukes one of the Dragon's heads, causing the beast from the sea to appear partially slain, healed by a world concensus among the cloth and maybe beyond. So when the 1st beast appears, look for a crime pardoned by a religious authority. This will be a long strip!

Cooked a cheesy pasta blognaise for the folks. Don't think I will go running today, just work out at midnight. Take meds at 10pm. No snacking anymore. Creeping up to 12am. Just finished drawing Monday's KDL strip. Turned out a little different but I guess, okay. Was late with my meds and so will work out at 1am, sleep by 3am. Laying out my padded bag so I don't forget.

Spent some time not coding, fitting my Mudman 9300 onto a GLIDE Velcro strap. I guess it looks suitable for a watch of this size. I am thinking ahead at circa 4am, to mid week's KDL strip. Would like to analyze the technology of Heaven and how life will be like in the Kingdom of God.
